Picture Framing Workshop for Beginners
Saturday 7th December 2019 - 10am - 4pm

Reuse and refresh your old picture frames or bring in a new picture frame and picture (ideal for Christmas presents). Take away framing skills for the future.

In this workshop you will learn how to safely disassemble an old picture frame and how to measure dimensions for a new picture to fit in the frame you have taken apart. You will also learn how to cut a bevel edged window in a card mount for your new picture, then how to clean and reassemble the newly framed picture, ready to hang on a wall. Throughout the course you will be helped with any part of, reusing and refreshing your old picture frame.

Please bring a pencil, paper and eraser, plus an old or new frame (no bigger than 50cm x 40cm). Also bring a picture you would like to display in the frame. The picture must be smaller than the viewing size of the frame and old frames must be in a reasonable condition (i.e. strong corner joints and undamaged glass).

Cost: £55 per person (includes mountboard for framing)
